The HTC Touch Pro2 offers the facility to get regular web page updates pushed automatically to the handset

Setting up: Step 1
On the HTC Touch Pro2's home screen, press the Internet tab on the bar at the bottom of the display (represented by a globe icon), or alternatively swipe your finger sideways until you get to the Internet screen

On the Internet tab screen, press one of the Add a new Push Page options. The first time you use this option, a warning appears about potential extra data charges from using the service. Press Yes to continue

In the New Push Page menu, you can either choose to select a pre-saved bookmark, or input a web page address manually

If you press Select a Bookmark, you will be taken to a list of existing bookmarks. Scroll down to view the bookmarks and press to selec

You will be returned to the New Push Page screen, which you can amend if you choose to

Alternatively, you can simply type in a web address directly. Press the Address panel and using the soft keypad or the slider Qwerty keyboard, type in the address of the page you want to use. Press the Title panel and type in the name you want to give the new Push Page

Whether you're selecting a bookmark or typing in an address manually, you also need to set the frequency with which the updated web page is pushed to the phone. Press the Frequency panel. Press to select the frequency you require

To view the web page you've assigned as a Push Page, simply press the option on the Internet page. The web page is displayed
Scheduling: Step 1
To change schedule settings, in the Internet tab (Setting up: Step 2 and 10), press the Menu button in the bottom right hand corner of the display. Press Schedule Settings
Scheduling: Step 2
In the Schedule Settings screen, press the days you want to select for automatic updates to take place (for example, you may want to exclude weekends). The days you select are indicated in green

You can also select the times between which you want to get updates. Using the up/down arrows, you can set the Start Time and End Time during which updates will take place

Scroll down and you can also reset the update frequency, by pressing the Frequency bar and selecting as before

Press Done to save your scheduling amendments. You will be returned to the main Internet tab screen

Setting up automatic web page updates for your HTC Touch Pro2 using push internet
Among the functions offered on the HTC Touch Pro2 is the facility to receive push internet pages, enabling users to get regularly updated web pages on their phone instantly without having to wait, or navigate the browser to find favourite sites.
The HTC Touch Pro is a powerful Windows Mobile smartphone that offers a raft of useful features for both business and leisure. It's well connected too, with high speed data connectivity enabling users to use online services and browse the internet swiftly and reliably wherever they are, via Wi-Fi or HSPA mobile data connections.
The push internet option for the HTC Touch Pro2's Opera Mobile web browser enables users to set how frequently they would like a favourite web page updated, so that it's pre-delivered and so available instantly when the user chooses to view it from the phone's Internet tab.
Users can also schedule the time and days of the week when a particular Push web page is updated. It's a useful feature that adds to the HTC Touch Pro2's overall online user experience.
Here's how to do it...

- You can add further Push Pages by pressing one of the Add a new Push Page options below and following the same procedure.
Scheduling updates
You can also change Push page settings from the Internet screen, so that it updates only when you need it to (such as daylight- or work-only hours).
