How to set up and use email on the HTC Touch Pro2

Setting up and using email on the HTC Touch Pro2 Windows Mobile smartphone

The HTC Touch Pro2 is a formidably equipped Windows Mobile-powered smartphone, with a Qwerty keyboard and high-speed data connectivity - including HSPA and Wi-Fi - enabling a high grade communications performance.

From its initial start up out of the box, the HTC Touch Pro2 is geared up for easy set up and use, with a wizard prompting you to set up Wi-Fi and email straight away. You can, however, ignore these and set up your email whenever you want to - and add extra accounts whenever you like too. The HTC Touch Pro2 supports regular email you use through web-based services, other accounts provided by ISPs, plus  Microsoft Exchange server email.

The email wizard requires only a few basic email details - such as email account name and password - for automatic set-up for a wide range of popular email services that support POP3/IMAP4. Once input, the phone will then automatically load up more detailed settings. Settings for some services, such as Google Mail, come pre-loaded.

You can follow the procedures outlined here if you're not sure how to proceed. Here, we show you how to set up and use email accounts at any time by following a few simple steps.
