Sony Ericsson unveils 'revolutionary' motion control headphones
Sony Ericsson hails its MH907 headphones - featuring buttonless buds that control music by being placed in and out of your ears
Sony Ericsson has unveiled the world's first 'motion activated headphones' - and laughably claimed they will change the way we listen to music forever.
The MH907 headphones only work with Sony Ericsson phones and the motion control means that they automatically start playing music when placed in both ears.
To pause music you simply remove one of the earbuds - slap it back in and the music restarts. The same process applies when you want to answer and end phone calls.
We're somewhat puzzled by the appeal of this 'revolutionary' control method and wonder whether inserting and removing earbuds is any easier than pressing a button. But we presume that Sony Ericsson is aiming this innovation squarely at the younger sector of its market and has a pile of research to back up its promotional hyperbole.
No word yet on pricing or availability of the MH907 but Sony Ericsson has comissioned a funky video illustrating just how cool the motion controlled headsets will make you...
The Sony Ericsson MH907 earbuds. Revolutionary, apparently
