Vodaphone slips out cheap SIM plans
Paul Nesbitt
For just £20 you can snap up a 30 day SIM, which includes 600 minutes talk time, and unlimited text and data. The talk time is raised to 900 minutes if you choose the £25 deal.
Approaching the end of your contract but want to keep your handset? Vodaphone quietly posted some new SIM-only contract on its website, which are aimed at the budget conscious and anyone who's reluctant to sign up for another long plan.
For just £20 you can snap up a 30 day SIM, which includes 600 minutes talk time, and unlimited text and data. The talk time is raised to 900 minutes if you choose the £25 deal.
Of course, it's worth noting that 'unlimited data' deals are not always what they seem these days of 'fair usage' contracts. In this case 'unlimited data' actually means 500MB per month.
For £30 you also get unlimited land line unlimited landline calls included for the 30 day length of your contract.
If you feel less worried about getting stuck in a contract, Vodaphone offers 12 month SIM-only contracts. In this case £20 per month gets you 900 minutes talk time rather than 600 with the one month only deal and for £25 per month your talk time is raised to 1200 minutes.
