O2 offers free home broadband in iPhone tethering deal

O2 is offering a discounted £9.79 per month deal offering the company's iPhone Internet Tethering bolt-on, with the standard O2 Home Broadband thrown in for free.
The offer, which is available to both new and existing iPhone customers, is being offered until the end of this year. Tethering enables an iPhone owner to connect their handset to their laptop and use it as a mobile broadband modem in places where there is no WiFi provision. The deal permits up to 3GB of data per month to downloaded using this set-up.
'Pay Monthly iPhone customers who purchase the discounted £9.79 per month 3GB Internet Tethering Bolt On before 31 December 2009 will be entitled to the O2 Home Broadband standard package for free. The service means users can stay totally connected and get the best connection possible, whether at home or out and about on their phone or laptop,' said O2.
Alternatively customers can sign up for the deal and claim a £7.34 per month discount against any other O2 Home Broadband pacakge, including Premium, Pro or O2 Home Broadband Access.
The package is compatible with all versions of the iPhone 3G.
