Palm Pre update imminent
Richard Goodwin
Palm have announced that it will be updating the WebOS for the Pre within the next few days.
According to Palm, O2 users can expect the automatic update from WebOS 1.1.3 to 1.3.1 within the next few days.
The update will be automatic and begin once the user is within range of a Wi-Fi or 3G connection - no action, presumably, is required on the user’s part.
The update, which was released in the US earlier this month, brings LinkedIn contacts to the Pre as well as improvements to email and messaging.
According to Palm, once the new update is installed users will be able to forward messages in the Messaging application, as well as have support for Yahoo! in the Pre’s calender application.
In addition, there will be a new Facebook application, as well as even more options for using the Pre in corporate EAS environments.
