Sony Ericsson releases update for 'buggy' Satio

Sony Ericsson has rushed out an emergency update for its flagship Satio smartphone, which was pulled from UK shops last week

Sony Ericsson has released a firmware update for its flagship Satio smartphone after it was withdrawn from UK shelves last week following a tidal wave of complaints from angry customers about freezes and other software glitches.

The Sony Ericsson Satio, which was designed to change the company’s fortunes, has done quite the opposite after it was removed from sale by both Carphone Warehouse and Phones 4U.

According to reports, the Satio had issues with sudden freezing, battery problems, ringtone faults, and software crashes.

Whether or not this firmware update addresses these issues has not yet been confirmed. However, the Sony Ericsson Satio is still not available at either the Carphone Warehouse or Phones 4U.

The Satio is still available to purchase from Sony Ericsson itself and a variety of third-party dealers.
