Vodafone to release Nokia N900 next month

Vodafone has confirmed it will be release the Nokia N900 next month which will make it the first UK operator to sell the Maemo 5 powered tablet/smartphone.
According to reports, Nokia has had to push back the N900's official full-release until January due to the sheer demand for the device.
Customers were advised to put in pre-orders if they wished to get their hands on the device in December. Everyone else, it seems, will have to wait until January now.
Vodafone has launched a dedicated website for the N900 and has already begun taking orders. However, the actual device will not be shipped until January 2010
Price wise, consumers can expect to be paying around £500 for the the N900 SIM-free on PAYG. Both Nokia and Expansys have the device priced at £500.
The Nokia N900 features an ARM-based Cortex-A8 processor and 1GB of application memory. Storage wise, users can get a whooping 48GB out of the N900 with its 32GB of onboard storage and additional MicroSD card slot.
Other notable specs on the Nokia N900 are 10Mb/s HSDPA 3G, Wi-Fi, Assisted GPS, a slide-out Qwerty keyboard, an FM transmitter and a 5Mp camera.
