Sat-Nav application released for the Nexus One
Richard Goodwin
A satellite navigation application has been launched for the Nexus One.
The sat-nav application, which is known as CoPilot Live GPS, was released to run on Google’s new Nexus One smartphone. However, the application has now been made available to all Android users.
The application was developed by ALK Technologies and is available for - a rather steep - £25.99 from www.copilotlive.com.
CoPilot Live GPS has full UK and Ireland road maps, which are stored on the devices memory card so that users’ do not have to rely on mobile networks for the service to work. In addition to this, maps for western Europe, the USA and Canada are also available.
The application also features some live services, such as up-to-date traffic information, petrol prices and local searches.
And for the more voyeuristic of users, there is an option that allows friends and family to track your movements in realtime via Facebook.
The Nexus One gets itself a dedicated Sat-Nav app
