The Nokia X6 officially launches - released later this month
Richard Goodwin
Nokia’s new music-oriented smartphone, the Nokia X6 has officially launched in the UK today and is expected to be available later on in the month. The device comes in either a 16GB or a 32GB version, but doesn’t come with Nokia’s “Comes With Music” as standard, unfortunately.
The Nokia X6 will set users back £299 for the 16GB and an extra £150 will land them the 32GB version. However, the price of the devices is expected to fall as this is only Nokia’s suggested retail price.
The X6 will go head-to-head with with devices like the HTC Touch Diamond and the LG Viewty Smart which are both in a similar price zone to the X6.
Vodafone have set up a registration page for users interested in obtaining a Nokia X6. Experts are suggesting there will be a large volume of demand for the handset, which is Nokia’s successor to the infinitely popular Nokia 5800.
Specs wise, the X6 comes with a 5-megapixel camera with two LED flashes, a 3.2-inch capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 640x360.
The “lite” version of the X6, known as the X3 has also appeared on a few networks. One of the most attractive deals for the X3 to-date is on Talkmobile where users get 100 mins, 100 texts and unlimited internet for just £10 a month.
Users wanting the device with Comes With Music will have to pay a staggering £500 for the privildge, which is £200 more than the non-CWM version - think we’ll stick with Spotify, thanks Nokia...
