HTC Desire arrives in UK in April
Paul Nesbitt
HTC's Desire will be available in the UK from 1 April from Amazon.com and Play.com costing £440 for a SIM-free unlocked package.
The Desire is pretty much HTC's take on Google's Nexus One smartphone (which HTC also manufactures), and like the Nexus, the Desire runs Android 2.1, albeit a version overlaid with HTC's own Sense interface. Sense has gained plaudits for its attractive user experience and the growing range of Sense widgets (apps).
The Desire is based on a 1GHz processor, and sports a 3.7in touch screen, GPS, Bluetooth, WiFi, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
