Nokia is releasing three new mobile handsets, aimed at users looking for a more affordable smartphone.
The Nokia C3, C6 and E5 handsets are aimed at putting messaging and social networking tools at affordable prices for the ‘Twitter generation’. All three have QWERTY keyboards, access to email, instant messaging and social networks.
The C3 is priced at a very decent £79 (90 Euros), with a BlackBerry style QWERYY keyboard and the ability to view, comment, update and share their pics on networks like Facebook and Twitter on the homescreen. It will have a two megapixel camera and a 2.4 inch colour screen. Available in the second quarter of 2010, you can get it in white, grey and pink.
The Nokia C6 is Symbian-based, with a 3.2 inch touchscreen and a slide-out keyboard. It will also provide internet feeds directly on the homescreen, and is estimated to cost around £194 (220 Euros). The camera is much better, with five megapixels, autofocus and flash.
The third device is an Eseries phone in the E5, which is aimed at the business market as well. It will have direct access to 90 percent of the world’s corporate email, and will cost about £159 (180 Euros).
