It's LG’s turn to show off a new Android phone, with the LU2300
Confident that it could compete with Android-based rivals like the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 as well as the HTC Legend and Desire, LG's official UK blog revealed details of the device, which was expected to come out in April or May in Korea.
It has a 1GHz Snapdragon processor (equivalent to the HTC Desire), with a 3.5 inch capacitive touchscreen, 4 line landscape slide QWERTY keyboard and a 5 megapixel camera, with geo-tagging capability.
Smartphone Tracker has already reviewed LG’s InTouch Max GW620, which the company called its ‘introduction’ to Android for first-time smartphone users. It calls the LU2300 ‘an Android phone for the serious smartphone user’.
The blog said: “The word on the street also says that it has a commitment to Augmented Reality, with built in AR apps as standard.”
It needs to move fast if its going to make a dent in the Android smartphone market. The GW620 is its only Android phone and other companies like HTC, Samsung and Motorola are really about to push on with their offerings.
