Apple employee loses prototype iPhone 4G in a bar. Apple asks for it back!
Paul Nesbitt
An Apple engineer forgetfully left a working iPhone 4G in a California bar, which found its way to gadget blog Gizmodo, who published details about the smartphone, which Apple is expected to release in June. When Apple sent a letter requesting its return, Gizmodo's findings gained considerable credibility.
Amongst the new features on what we assume will be the iPhone 4G are:
- Front-facing video camera
- Higher resolution back camera with a flash
- iPad-style Micro-SIM slot
- Higher resolution (maybe 960 by 640) display which is much brighter than the iPhone 3GS
- What may be a secondary microphone to be used for noise cancellation
- Up and down buttons for volume
The new iPhone 4G is also 3g heavier than the 3GS, and the screen is marginally smaller than the current screen
The internal components are smaller so make room for a larger battery
That Letter from Apple to Gizmodo
Dear Mr. Lam, It has come to our attention that Gizmodo is currently in possession of a device that belongs to Apple. This letter constitutes a formal request that you return the device to Apple. Please let me know where to pick up the unit.
Is this the iPhone 4G?
