Vodafone nabs Nokia C3 social phone

Nokia’s new budget C3 smartphone will be coming out exclusively on Vodafone on pay as you go.
The C3 will likely ship out in June, and is most likely to cost around £79, although this hasn’t been confirmed.
It comes with a BlackBerry style QWERTY keyboard. It’s specifically designed for the social networking generation, with a capability where one service allows you to login to different IM services.
It also has social networking updates coming up on the home screen, and is available in a slate colour as well as shocking pink.
It's not the most high-powered of smartphones for this kind of price, but for what it’s worth it has a 2 megapixel camera, GPRS as well as a touchscreen interface.
Like Microsoft with the Kin phone, Nokia has decided not to release a high-powered device quite yet, although we still await its Nokia N8, which is based on a revamped open source Symbian 3 operating system.
This has a particularly juicy 12MP camera and gesture support for pinch-to-zoom.
However it is likely to be the end of the year until we get it, perhaps crucially losing ground to Android phones as well as the next generation iPhone coming out in June.
