Sony Ericsson Vivaz pro now shipping

Sony Ericsson announced that its Vivaz pro, first announced at the Mobile World Congress this year, has began shipping.

According to its official blog the Vivaz pro will soon be available to selected markets, and advised potential customers to check with local operators and retailers for more information.

The new phone will have a full slide-out QWERTY keyboard, and allows users to produce and broadcast with HD video.

Sony Ericsson’s Daniel Sandblom said on the blog, “Vivaz has been shipped in large volumes already.”

“Some of the top reasons from consumers why they desire the phone is the superior HD video recording as well as the unique Human Curvature design.”

“It feels very pleasant to be able to extend the Vivaz family with Vivaz pro with a full slide-out qwerty keyboard.”

The Vivaz Pro also has a also 3.2” 16:9 wide touchscreen, microSD memory up to 32GB and is available in white and black. It also carries A-GPS, Google Maps and Wisepilot turn-by-turn navigation.

It’s also possible to download applications through PlayNow and the Symbian Developer Community. It is the sister phone to the Sony Ericsson Vivaz, which was announced in January.
