Unlocked Dell Streak to cost the same as iPad

Pricing for the Dell Streak has been revealed by Carphone Warehouse, and said that you can either get it free on contract or bought for the same price as an iPad unlocked.
The device will be available on a mobile only contract for £25 per month, or £35 on a voice and unlimited data contract. But if you want to pick up the Streak without a contract you can get one for £429 - the same as a new iPad 16GB Wi-Fi.
The Streak is the first big contender to the iPad when it comes to the new touchscreen tablet market. It runs on Android, and has many options that the iPad lacks, such as a 5MP camera.
"The Dell Streak hits the sweet spot between traditional smartphones and larger-screen tablets," said Ron Garriques, president, Dell Communication Solutions Group, at the time.
"Its unique size provides people new ways to enjoy, connect, and navigate their lives."
It also has a 5-inch capacitive multi-touch WVGA display and an ARM-based Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset and software platform, with a 1GHz processor.
The Streak is exclusive to O2 and will also be available at its stores, online and on the Dell website.
