O2 cuts unlimited data plans for iPhone 4

O2 has revealed that there will be no more unlimited data plans available with the new iPhone 4 with new tariffs, but there is the opportunity for users to upgrade early.
O2 revealed a new pricing structure for people looking to sign up for 18 months and 24 months, with prices from £25 up to £65.
But there are no more unlimited data options, with 500 MB the minimum data allowance going up to 1GB if you are willing to pay more.
O2 chief executive Ronan Dunne said, “We know that customers are looking for clarity in pricing as too many offers have clauses and catches which are not easy to understand.”
“With the wide range of Internet based services now available on mobile devices we’re providing customers with generous clear data bundles that give customers freedom.”
“This enables us to provide a better overall experience for the vast majority of customers and to better manage demand.”
If an O2 user who really desperately wants the iPhone 4 there is also an early upgrade option available at launch, which allows a person to pay off the rest of their contract at £20 a month.
But after that you still need to shell out for a new iPhone and sign up to a new contract, and in the end could end up quite expensive in total.
