Nokia launches X5 and X6 8GB smartphones

Nokia has announced two new consumer mobile smartphones in the Nokia X5 and the Nokia X6 8GB for a likely release later in the year.
The Nokia X5 is square (sort of like a minidisc player) and dedicated music keys and loud speakers. As well as this it also features a full slide-out QWERTY keyboard for social media types.
It will also support all major instant messaging and webmail services, as well as access to social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter. It has a 5 megapixel camera with 4X digital zoom and LED flash.
Onboard memory is small at 200MB, but it does have a 2GB Micro-SD card included which can be upgraded to 32 GB. Battery life is 16-days standby time or 24 hours music playback from a full charge.
It also has a few gimmicks - you can spin the phone to switch to a new track, while shaking it shows you the unread messages from your friends.
The exact pricing and release date have still to be confirmed, but looks like to be around 165 euros before taxes and subsidies.
The Nokia X6 8GB is an X6 phone with cut down memory, but with that a cheaper price tag.
