Dell Streak available sim-free from website

Following Apple’s decision to release the iPhone 4 sim-free, users who didn’t want to stick to O2 can now get the Dell Streak unlocked from the Dell website for £449.
Before this users who wanted to get their hands on the device could get it for free from O2, but would have to sign up to a £25 a month 24 month contract. That was on data only though, and increased to £35 a month.
It was possible to get a pay and go version of the O2 for £399, but with the Dell website option you’ll basically be able to do what you want with it, such as run it with a different network operator.
A device designed to follow the tablet trail blazed by the iPad, it has a 5-inch 800 x 480 screen, 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU, 5 Megapixel camera, and 16GB of external memory upgradable to 32GB.
It weighs 220g with integrated HSPDA 3G connectivity, 802.11b/g Wi-Fi, with a quoted standby time of 400 hours and talk time of 9.8 hours.
Streak runs the Android OS, but with an unlocked model the option is available to play around with it and run something else if you are so inclined.
